Learn more about Staffing Referrals
Staffing Referrals is software designed to help you find more qualified candidates from your existing network. It is the first automated referral management (ARM) platform that scales, tracks, and manages referral programs for staffing agencies.
David Folwell, the founder of Staffing Referrals, previously owned a marketing agency that worked with staffing agencies. He learned that referrals represent 20% to 70% of most high-performing agencies' placements. To help these agencies grow faster, he went looking for software to help scale his clients' referral programs. His search came up empty. He couldn't believe that staffing agencies weren't using software to manage such a large portion of their revenue. So he built Staffing Referrals.
Prior to Staffing Referrals, David had launched three successful referral programs. He used his experience from these programs to create staffing software that actually delivers an ROI.
Staffing Referrals launched in January 2017. It is the only automated referral management (ARM) platform built specifically for the staffing industry.
Our headquarters is in Denver, CO. Our team is distributed across the country, including in Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and Oregon.
All of them! We work with staffing agencies in every niche:
If your agency has positive reviews and your recruiters have good relationships with candidates, you can likely get more referrals than you have right now. If your team is interested in using technology to save time, money, and effort in the recruiting process, then Staffing Referrals is a great fit for you!
Currently, we have integrations with the major ATS and CRM systems used in the staffing industry, as well as other technology vendors. We are always working on new integrations.

Yes. While we integrate with the major ATS and CRM systems (and we’re always working on new integrations), Staffing Referrals can be used as a standalone tool. About half of customers use our software as a sourcing tool and do not integrate directly into their ATS.

No. Data security and integrity are as important to us as they are to you. Your instance of Staffing Referrals is just like your ATS. Only your team has access to your talent pool.
You do. Your candidates’ information will never be shared with anyone else using the platform. We may use the data in our system in aggregate to develop industry benchmarks and reports.

Yes. We provide templates with messaging that we’ve tested so we know they work. These are available for you to use out of the box on Day 1. But all messages are also fully customizable.
It’s up to you. Most commonly, automated messages go out from your recruiters, and this is what we recommend. But some of our clients choose to use a general marketing account instead.
Staffing Referrals is a white-label platform. All of the landing pages, automated messages, and so on will be branded for your agency.
On average, 18% of referral leads that come through our platform get placed on assignment. In addition, we’ve built an automated qualification process that saves your recruiters even more time.

There are two types of referral programs:
We recommend a dual-sided referral program. This is the type of referral program popularized by Uber and Airbnb — a happy customer tells all their friends about their good experience with a company, their friends become the company’s newest customers, and everyone gets a little reward to celebrate. It’s a win-win-win situation — for the company, for the brand ambassador, and for the friends.
What’s more, creating this win-win-win situation helps make referrals more successful. When only the brand ambassador is rewarded, people they approach for referrals may be suspicious. Are the brand ambassadors just out for a bonus or do they really believe in the company they’re promoting?
Dual-sided referral programs not only help make the brand ambassador more trustworthy, but they also strengthen both the established and the new candidates’ relationship with your firm. Your candidates are more likely to give referrals, too. Instead of feeling opportunistic, they’ll feel like they’re giving their friends a gift.

We recommend that the initial invite consists of your placements from the last 3 months to 1 year, and possibly anyone you have interviewed and vetted in the past 3 to 6 months.
On an ongoing basis, we encourage you to invite everyone who has a positive experience with your recruiters or your brand. This includes anyone in your ATS database who is being prescreened, interviewed, submitted, or placed.
