Automating Referral Follow-Up to Create Recruiter Accountability

David: If I remember correctly, Tim, I think you had a unique process with how you were using Staffing Referrals and Herefish and even Great Recruiters as well. So I’ll let you jump in on that.

Tim: I think one important thing is just really getting feedback throughout the process, and one intentional thing we do with Herefish is after anybody has started an assignment, making sure the NPS goes out within 2 weeks to the consulting resource, but also the hiring manager for them, and really find out how we’re doing, and we’ve gotten great scores and feedback. It’s always a little scary to do because you don’t know what’s going to come back, but you need to hear it.

We get great communications, and we let the team know, and we celebrate the victories within it.

With Staffing Referrals, there’s no doubt if you implement the tool, you’re going to get more referrals.

But then, the accountability really shifts to the team to follow up on the referrals, and there’s a way, in combining Staffing Referrals and Herefish, where you could say, okay, if a referral comes, you set a timeline, and if this referral hasn’t been called by x amount of time, send a reminder through Herefish to the person that owns that referral. And then you can set up a sequence of them.

Again, if it’s a couple days and they don’t take action, then in the final one, you can include their managers, so that they have visability, so that nothing is falling through the cracks.

I mean, I can just tell you, referrals are the top driver in our business. However you’re doing it, it’s the number one way to get businesses. I think, David, you referenced at the start of the panel. So, I think, just really taking advantage and using both tools to make sure that once you get these referrals, that action is taken, is really key.
